Okay, so we've (well I've) fallen behind in updating Alison, Jordan, & Emilie's Blog. Could be that we've just been having too much fun or could be this old Mamaw has just been to tired to mess with the blog. Actually it's both.
We have been having loads of fun although most people can't begin to comprehend how 14-16 children and one still young at heart, gettin' pretty old woman, in a house on 16 acres all day, every day could even remotely be considered fun, but it is what it is and I treasure every moment....well, most every moment...lol
Actually we've been spending most of our days outside in the pool. The girl's have also played baseball...hey, we do have enough kids for 2 teams...lol. They've gone on searches for and found frogs, lizards, salamanders, newts, and of course rollie-pollie's. They've played freeze-tag, mother may I, hide-n- seek, and red light green light and chased one another around the yard with the water hose...lol
In the evenings they've played slap jack, crazy eights, watched movies or cartoons, eaten ice cream, cupcakes, popcorn, pickles and entire bags of Doritos...lol
They've built tents and hideouts constructed of boxes, blankets, wood, bar stools and tree branches, had picnics in the yard and they've eaten over a thousand Popsicles. To say they have had a good time is an understatement!
They have loved going to church on Sunday mornings and Alison & Jordan made a profession of faith and accepted Jesus as their Lord & Savior on Sunday June 21st and they were baptized this past Sunday July 10th. I know their Daddy was smiling down on them as was their Heavenly Father. It was a great day.
Going to their "Daddy's Garden" has become a Sunday routine after church. The girl's always run to his resting place, send him air hugs and air kisses and as strange as it sounds, butterfly's always descend from the heavens and hover and flit around the girl's while we are there. At first we just thought it was really cool that there were so many butterfly's around while we were there but when it continued to happen every single time the girl's are there....ya kinda have to wonder...
So here are a few pictures and a couple of videos chronicling the past few weeks. Enjoy and please overlook the messiness in some of the pics and videos, remember there are 14-16 kids here every day...lol
